Frequently Asked Questions

Planning Your Visit

Your time with us

Do I need to make an appointment?

Bridal appointments are preferred, as we do have limited availability. We want to ensure you have the best one on one service provided by your private Bridal Consultant during the entirety of your appointment so we cannot ensure a walk-in spot would be available. Also, when scheduling an appointment, we do require a $25.00 booking fee at the time of booking your appointment with a five (5) guest maximum or a $50.00 booking fee with an eight (8) guest maximum. We are also able to pre-register your information and send reminder notifications upon booking your appointment. Bridal appointments are an hour and a half long to ensure our brides have ample time celebrating their "YES!" moments. For a more intimate experience, we strongly recommend a week-day appointment.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Underwear is required and white or nude is recommended for lighter gowns. Your consultant will benefit from any inspiration images you may have. Above all, we suggest bringing a positive attitude and the expectation of falling in love with something during your apopintment! Being prepared to make a purchase on your initial appointment with us makes the process much more enjoyable for you!

Whom should I bring with me?

Through our experience, we have found it best for everyone involved to keep your group intimate. Seating capacity is at three to four additional guests per group; our number one goal is keeping everyone safe and happy. Beyond that, the extra opinions make the process very confusing for the bride and space becomes limited.

We would like to celebrate with a toast. Is this allowed?

We ask that food and drink are not brought into the store, to preserve the delicate surroundings and maintain a safe environment.

What is the price point of your gowns?

With such a large variety, our price points have quite a range. We have bridal gowns starting at $700 up to $1,100 in our sale selections with new arrivals and orderable gowns at $1,100 up to $3,600 for couture designs. Average price point on most gowns, however, is between $1,500 - $1,800. Mothers’ gowns range between $500-$650, with an average being approximately $550. Bridesmaids range from $190-$365. Mothers & Bridesmaids of Pierre’s Brides always receive exclusive discounts and savings except on already marked down sale gowns and our two new exclusive lines: Affairs Bridesmaids and Shorts by MGNY.

Purchasing and Sizing

What’s Next?

What forms of payment do you accept?

VISA, MasterCard, Discover, cash and check are accepted on initial deposits. However, on final payment, or when goods are leaving the store, a personal check can not be accepted. Pierre’s does offer flexible payment plans, if need be. A 60% down payment is required for all day of purchases and special orders. Any form of deposit is a binding contract in agreement to pay the entire due balance as all Sales in the Bridal Industry are Final Sales.  There is also a freight surcharge on all bridal gowns, mother's gowns, prom and quinceanera gowns from our designers that will be added during checkout.

Do I need to Tip my consultant?

Tips are never required but greatly appreciated as our stylists work hard to ensure the best experience while finding the dress of your dreams. We provide an option to tip through our credit card machine at checkout of 1%, 5%, 10% or a customized option of your choice. Cash is welcome, too!

Does Bridal, Bridesmaids and Prom sizing run true to size?

Somewhat!  Most brides find they are approximately 1-2 sizes larger in bridal gowns than in typical clothing. Please understand that some bridesmaids’ manufacturers may mandate a size charge for gowns sized over 16 and the cost is not included in the price of the sample garment.

What sizes do you offer?

Bridal Gowns are available in size 0-34W. Sizes 02-34 in Bridesmaids, 2-28 in Mothers’ and 00-30 in Prom.

After my order is placed, how long will my gown take to arrive?

Your special order is typically placed immediately following your visit with us. On average, a wedding gown will take approximately three to eight months to arrive. A mothers gown takes approximately two to six months. A bridesmaid’s gown takes approximately three to five months. In all cases, please allow alteration time, which is generally two to eight months. Rush shipping is occasionally available, but is case by case and at an additional $200 charge. For new brides wondering when is best to make their decision, we recommend nine months to a year. Also, it is important to realize retailers have no foresight or control over production and delivery, so it is best to choose your gown early! To check the estimated ship dates your designer has provided us on your gown, please use your Web-Key located on the top of your receipt to input onto the My Info tab on our website.

My special order is in, now what?

Pierre’s Bridal will text AND email you when your items have been received and are ready for pick-up so please ensure your information on your receipt is correct. To best serve you and make your final experience with us special, we only schedule a week-day appointment for pick up on gowns as weekends can be very congested. We like to have you try on your gown, with the assistance of a consultant because you will likely have further questions or shopping to do and we need to have someone ready to serve you!

Do you accept returns, exchanges, or transfers of deposits?

It is industry standard that all sales are final. This includes both out-of-inventory purchases as well as special orders. Once the manufacturer receives a special order, immediately following your visit with us, the pattern begins to be cut and putting a stop to the order is not possible. Any form of deposit is a binding contract in agreement to pay the entire due balance as stated on the bottom of your signed receipt.

Do you offer gown cleaning or preservation?

Absolutely! Pierre’s Bridal proudly offers the kit services of The Wedding Gown Preservation Co. You simply purchase a kit from us (at special savings for our Pierre’s Brides) of $350 and drop your wedding gown off to our location to begin the process. We package your gown and up to 5 additional accessories to be shipped. From there, simply wait about 10 - 18 weeks and your gown will be delivered right to your front porch, cleaned and preserved in a window box to be kept safely for generations! Contact us to reserve your kit today or check out the Gown Preservation Tab here on our website for further information!
